After “Beyond Hope,” the mural that welcomes me in the grand foyer, marbled acres stretch down corridors for Despair, Angst, Ennui. Then the main exhibit dedicated to varieties of Wonder. There’s a courtyard for Curiosity, a Surprise rooftop garden, a subterranean exhibit of Fear, with objects of Disgust that opens into the Great Hall of Anger—a vast ballroom with soundproof doors and a ceiling that balloons the sound of my screams until there is nothing left.
